We are used to thinking of life as a road that carries on towards an inevitable epilogue, where illness, pain and concerns are a part of an inevitable human destiny.
The difficult events of the last few thousand years, and our very brief historical period, have led us to confirm this conception: on the other hand, nobody dares to think that they are immortal.

For the religious amongst us, immortality is of the soul, like resurrection after death, entering an undefined spiritual world full of ecstasy and enjoyment.

Aging and death are two separate concepts, that are not at all mysterious. They are a part of a precise hormonal program. This program is clearly identifiable by observing the maximum duration of homoiothermal (hot blooded) mammals, to which humans belong.

While it is not so for the poikilotherms, or rather cold-blooded animals (fish, reptiles, amphibians), for which there is only approximate information about how long they can live or why they die.

The signs that lend rhythm to our life from birth to death are light and temperature, marked by circadian rhythms, dictated by the alternating day and night and by the cyclical changing of the seasons.

Everything is based on these primary conditions that regulate every second of our life cycle: birth, growth, fertility, decline and death.
These signs articulate the hormonal programs that have developed throughout human evolution. In turn, the hormonal cycles that guide and affect our life and that are under the inflexible control of the pineal gland, follow planetary rhythms.

We are totally guided and affected by hormonal regulation that is piloted by planetary rhythmic cycles under the pineal gland’s control.
Living on earth, everyone can realize that environmental conditioning (air, light, temperature, etcetera) and our constant adaptation to it are essential for breathing and living.
Traces of the effects of this synchronous relationship with the environment, can also be found in hormonal cycle, regulated by the neuroendocrine system structures that belong to the cerebral pineal-hypothalamus-pituitary circuit and that has the task of integrating and synchronizing the day and night cycles of hormone synthesis and secretion.
However, this is a relationship that tends to deteriorate over time.
Aging is nothing other than this: the breaking of a synchronous agreement with planetary rotational rhythms.

A different story

Melatonin, zinc and hormones tell us a different story, however.
Hormones, and every other cell in our bodies, follow this type of cycle, that our state of health depends on.
What emerged from our studies, that we have proven with irrefutable scientific experiments, is that human aging is linked to a genetic program, the expression of which is regulated by the circadian rhythm of our hormonal system, which is controlled by the pineal gland.
Aging is characterized by a progressive or rapid decline (in the event of illnesses) in these cycles, based on a program that is genetically imprinted in the pineal system.

Faced with the results that emerged during research, it was clear that, if we could distance and avoid the deterioration of programmed hormonal cycles, we could also distance and avoid all the problems relating to aging in the same way.
And death?
We have proven that, while linked to aging, death comes under another program: this is what has been found from pineal gland transplants and pinealectomies, carried out by us and published on the Journal of Anti-Aging Medicine in the United States and included in the Document Volume of the Fourth Stromboli Conference on Cancer and Aging in 2005, that force one to make a significant change in perspective.
In fact , in good health, it is possible to reach, one hundred and twenty or one hundred and thirty years of age. However, it is not possible to go beyond that. Why? Because there is a death clock that marks the programmed end of life, but independently from aging.
Interpreting the death message is another landmark for us mortals and there is nothing mysterious or blasphemous about this either. In fact, it would appear to be a part of a neuroendocrine program linked to maintaining our body temperature. On the basis of the empirical responses that occurred during experiments on rodents, we believe that the death message is extremely powerful, and that it can cancel out any other intervention.

Experiment and clinical trials that we have carried out for several years to apply to our experience have provided a lot of proof that our evolutionary and biological logic is valid.
The flattening and disappearance of the night-time melatonin peak (the most direct relationship between melatonin and aging) and the constant reduction in blood zinc levels while aging, are unmistakable signs of deterioration in the hormonal control of our essential functions, such as sleep, physical strength, adaptation to temperature, sexual vigor, resistance to infections and so on.

They are functions that fall under hormonal control. However, it is pineal gland impulses that regulate hormonal cycles and rhythms (day and night), and these impulses receive and send messages to the endocrine glands.
Zinc, one of the most common minerals on the earth after iron, has taken on a huge number of biological functions that are connected with the ‘managerial’ role of the pineal gland.

The zinc-melatonin combination…

We can focus on these signals, to monitor the progression of aging and correct it over time. We might object: “So why zinc?”
The combination of melatonin-zinc is the biological base for resynchronizing the hormonal system. This combination starts up a chain of events, that can restore lost hormonal balance to a level of stability.
Our observations have highlighted the existence of an essential biological key, that allows us to slow down aging.

Maintaining the integrity of the pineal gland with melatonin and zinc allows the former to carry out is function optimally, with a mechanism that is controlled by its electronic structure. The two associated molecules have shown that they work for a rapid recovery of all pineal gland functions, while at the same time they restore full psychosomatic balance.

Aging is a process that we can slow down, and that can even be reversible, thanks to the pure melatonin associated with zinc that helps to support the immune system and keep the pineal function young, contributing to restoring hormonal rhythms and to maintain and prolong a state of health, distancing the onset of typical aging diseases that speed up progression.

By putting into practice the maxim “Die young, as late as possible” hoped for by the anthropologist and essayist Ashley Montagu, author of the famous book The natural superiority of women (New York, 1953 McMillan), translated in Italy in 1956 with the title La naturale superiorità della donna (1956).
